Mystery Creek Museum

We had a brilliant day at the museum!  Lots of fun and plenty of learning about life in the olden days.    Thank you to all parent helpers.  We really appreciate your time and support.

Golf Session 1

We were fortunate to have Melissa from Kiwisport come to teach the children some golf skills on Friday.

It was a very foggy morning but we had a great time.

We have some budding golfers amongst the girls and boys in Room 3.

Narrative Writing

Room 3 have been learning about the structure of a narrative.  We talked about the things a narrative needs, including a problem and a solution.  We will be posting some of the narratives the children have been writing, so keep checking our blog over the next few weeks.

The Magic Pencil

When the bell rang all the students walked into the classroom.  As they came in, the pencil fell off the desk.  It landed on a wire and got zapped, POP!  The kids got a fright and the pencil went pop, pop, pop!  The power went out.  One of the kids found the pencil.  It flew around the class and the pencil said “hi.”   “AAA!” said the kids.  The pencil had legs and arms and it ran out of the class.  Then the power went back on and the bell rang for home time.
